The professional recutting of suitable (“regroovable”) commercial vehicle tires is to remove rubber from the existing rubber pad at the bottom of the profile.
Our professionals have been trained in this craft and have many years of experience. Correctly recutting a used tire does not affect the safety of the product and also the suitability for a possible retreading.
Re-cutting increases mileage and adhesion of used tires and reduces fuel consumption. The groove of a reconditioned used tire has between 5 — 8 mm tread depth depending on tire size and field of use of the used tire.
The regrooving of tires makes sense not only from an economic point of view, but also contributes significantly to the protection of the environment.
